This week, while on their nightly walk, the Boutte girls, pictured here, found a baby bird on the ground.
They saw the mama bird swooping around it, checking on it, so they carefully wrapped the baby bird in a kitchen towel.
Tierson Boutte took the baby bird in its bundle, and as the mama bird watched concernedly, carefully climbed the tree.
Tierson placed the bird in the nest. Turns out, it’s a myth that if you touch a baby bird the mother will reject it.
Tierson watched, concernedly, but the baby bird and the mama bird were happily reunited.
It’s a good day for tree-loving families!
